Do you already have a 347 rotating assembly in hand? If not, look for a big bore (4.125") block. The bigger bore unshrouds the valves a ton and the extra cubes will help on the quest for 9's.

I got a 347 engine but its a stock block i figure it would b cheaper buy a block than going and get a 351w and boring it out and then buying a rotateing assembly

If you have good pistons in your kit, they could be sold if you find a big bore block. 4.125" bore pistons are an OTS item. Did you buy the 5.4" rod kit?
