Anybody here ever use an AOD tranny with a manual valve body? My question is how strong can they be with just a manual VB and stahl convertor?

Too many variables to give a proper answer.....

I wouldn't put a manual valvebody on a stock aod. A higher stall converter is alone enough to kill one, they need updated to last in any performance application.

Dirtydog, that is what I wanted to know. Sorry I did not leave enough info to go off of.
Basically I was wanting to know about the AOD in a Foxbody. I am thinking of getting one with an AOD to turbo and I don't want it to go out right away. Thanks guys.

I can tell you what all you need to do but it is a complex list. When you get ready to do it call me. I can help with parts, machining, assembly or build the whole trans for you as well. I also build converters which is my specialty and when it comes to aod's mine are second to none. The best aod info you can find is on clickclickracing.com

I saved your number. I am looking to trade my Toyota rock crawler for a Foxbody, I don't mind it being an auto car is the reason behind this. I know turbo's work well on an auto car, they work better under a constant load. Thanks again Alan, if I can get an auto car you will be the first person I call for the tranny.
I have a 92 fox and it has a Lentech valve body AOD with electronic Overdrive select and a 9 inch greg slack converter. It works very well. I believe the rear is a 4:30 and god willing I will have a turbo on this thing next summer.

That is the exact VB I was looking at getting, if I do end up with an auto car. I have read good things about this VB. Thanks.

Talk to silverfox beter stuff at a better price. The only lentech valvebody I ever buy is the transbrake with rev/third technology. Dan's valvebodies are better than the low level stuff at half the price.

I talked to Dan, the owner of silverfox. He knows his valvebodies. They will be emailed the next purchase I make.

Did you just call my stuff low level?

If it isn't trans brake, electronic od delete and rev/third it is low level for lentech.
Alan
got ya. FOR LENTECH its low level. Still good stuff though.
