I've heard people recommend the F303 cam time and time again for mild turbo builds...probably a good choice here.

I would recommend a blower cam of some sorts. IM not a fan of alphabet cams anymore.

Stock cam with 1.7s will make more power than the stock block can handle.

agreed on the stock cam. i hear alot about the E and F cam for forced inductions but if it were me i would call anderson for a blower cam.

Anderson will give u a cam that they recommend for a variety of cars. Call cam motion, comp cams, crower, or isky. Any one of those shops will take good care of u. Imo

Get a custom grind, I had a simple 306 with unported Y heads years ago, made over 425 hp and put my 93 couple 11.70's at 115 I spun it to 6800 and ran that same engine for 5 years and never had an issue, I did do a custom 28OZ. balance and aluminum flywheel to keep block and crank safe..

I am a firm beleiver in custom cams, no off the shelf cam will get a gain like something made for YOUR engine combo.

I agree but that just sounds like it cost alot and money tight right now

Well, if you are building an engine, a 250-300.00 cam is not that much, especially when that part can get more power if chosen right over any other, best bang for the buck, trust me...

These guys are right. A cam for your motor is the best thing for it. I was dumb and did a horrible cam choice. Now I'm looking for another one.
