Alright folks, listing my Fox for sale.
Asking $10,000
My number is 859-802-7964, I will try to check SBZ but feel free to call or text me. My name is Greg.
I am going to try to make a pretty complete listing of it so bear with me. Sorry if some of the pics aren't the greatest, lost my good camera in my divorce :D
The car is very clean and I have a thick stack of receipts and paperwork. I am going to try to list the details and info as best as I can. If I leave something out, please feel free to ask.
I will start with what I know still needs to be fixed.
-fuel gauge does not work, my use of a power probe shows a bad sending unit.
-power door lock switches do not work. I think it needs new switches but not 100%
-drips a few drops of oil after driving it. Seems to be coming from the rear main, but I replaced the rear main recently. It doesn't eat any oil, just drips after a hard ride. This car does not have many miles since being rebuilt.
The top-end has been pulled apart in the last year to powder coat so it has fresh gaskets and no leaks up top. New plugs and wires, injector o-rings, etc. Battery cut-off switch installed behind license plate which flips down.
Ok, so on to the meat!
Engine:
-306 Short block built by Excessive Motorsports, not sure what is in it. I have a receipt for the shortblock but no details.
-Longblock assembled by Paul’s Auto, have receipts for that too.
-Holley Systemax heads, cam, upper/lower intakes
-24lb injectors
-Mac ram air induction kit
-Crane ignition kit
-New MSD dist, custom length plug wires, fresh plugs
-smog/AC delete
-battery relocated to hatch
-3G
Tranny:
-5sp, Centerforce cluth, Pro 5.0 shifter, FMS aluminum driveshaft, firewall adjuster.
Rear:
-3.55 gears
Suspension
Tubular K member
MM LCA’s adjustable
MM Steering shaft
MM 1/4” spacers
MM standard torque arm

Willing to entertain serious offers, but can not accept trades. Would love to see this car goto someone who can appreciate it for what it is.
Thanks!

Thats a really good deal for an extremely clean car. The black paint on this thing is near flawless. Good luck, if I had not bought the 427 I would be all over this thing

Thanks man! The powder coating looks pretty darn good too!
I haven't had the car out much at the shows so only a couple of you have seen it. 85_SS has seen it in person too. I think that's probably about it.

I will check today and get back to you. Pretty sure it does but can't remember for sure since they aren't necessary with the panhard bar.

They are still there.

It kills me to do this. And honestly this is not a negotiable price.
But if anyone is interested in this car this coming week, and I know its the holidays....
$6k cash firm.
Thanks all.

How many miles are actually on the chassis? And mileage on the drivetrain? Thanks

Thanks man. Sorry, yeah I wasn't sure what the market was like so it only made sense to start on the high side. Really needing the money though. I sure hate to even consider selling it for this price but shit happens right!

Hey, I'm not really sure. The odo reads 70k but title states not actual mileage. As far as I know the past owners and myself have used it as a weekend toy so I can't imagine the motor has too many miles on it since it was built. I won't even guess on that though.

any idea what camshaft is in it?also has it been tuned?
DocG2828
12-20-2011, 03:30 PM
The cam is the Systemax II cam.
It has the full Holley kit, heads, intakes, cam. Lunati cam I believe it actually is.
I'll doublecheck my paperwork for tune and all. I know Paul's assembled and built the longblock.
I'll post a few vids too. Not very good ones taken with phone. A couple are when I took it to MD for a dyno run.
Embed is not working so I will try to post a few links to youtube.

Replied.
Sorry guys, I don't mean to be difficult or a dickhead but seriously $6k is my bottom dollar. There will be no haggling. Not sure who text me Xmas weekend but don't try to haggle with me before you have even seen the car.
I dropped it to $6k on here because I would like to see someone get it that would appreciate it for what it is and I know you guys/gals can appreciate a mustang. I will not sell it for less than $6k though.
Sorry, I will part it all out before I do that.

I may be interested. Wasn't really in the market but I might just be able to talk the wife into this one. I'll let you know tomorrow and might want to come down and check it out. If she is ok and I like it I won't jack you around on the price and have cash in hand. I'll let you know tomorrow.
Thanks

Lot of car for what I'd like to think is a good price. Hopefully the next owner will be as happy with it as I have been. Sucks to have bills

Damn man $5500 is a smokin deal for this car, it easily has that much in parts on it and it's super clean. As they say, you can't build it for that much, probably not twice that much.

I'm shocked this thing is still available. If I can get my IS300 sold quickly I'd love to get it.
Did you ever figure out what was causing the oil drip since it has a new rear main?

Thanks man. I'm still debating the option of pulling the drivetrain and some of the suspension selling it as a roller.

I'd prefer it wasn't still available
I changed the oil not long ago and it almost seemed as though one of the oil plugs was leaking a bit. Haven't really spent much time looking it over since though. I need to put it back up on the ramps and take a better look at it. Been spending most of my time looking for work.

Good luck with the sale, sad so many really nice cars getting parted out these days. Yours is a great buy, nobody could build it for what you want out of it.

Thanks! Tough market these days. I can understand that.
Got some pretty good job prospects so hopefully be working soon and be able to keep it if it doesn't sell by then.
