Just pulled the dash out of my coupe, it needs to be cleaned, badly. What do you guys recommend to clean it with?

Why does everyone complain so much about removing the dash in these cars? It wasn't bad at all. First time I've ever done something like this, from start to finish it took about two hours to have it completely out of the car. Wasn't difficult, just time consuming.

It's not damaged, it's just sat in a barn for months....it's pretty gross.

Use a watered down degreaser solution to clean and then your favorite vinyl protectant to dress it.

Simple green or Odoban.
That's what I used on all my plastic and vinyl last week that was mildewed from sitting in a damp garage for 5 years.

I used 409 on the vinyl in my 78 Cougar and then followed up with a protectant. Never had a crack in anything. Interior was dove gray and remained untainted to stains through the day I sold it.

Over on www.foureyedpride.com there is a thread on this subject. Some of the members there have provided good info on what works best and what not to use.
