My daughter has a 1996 cherokee she wants to trade. It runs good even though she has 200,000 miles on it. The problem is a car with that many miles needs to be tinkered with and she doesn't know how so she takes it somewhere and it's costing her to much.

What are you looking to trade for and/or how much to buy?

Just something dependable. Doesn't matter as long as she can drive it. Not looking for a certain model. What do you think it is worth.

Would all depend on condition and rust. I have seen them as cheap as $1000 and as much as $3000 with those miles. Body condition is the biggest thing to determine value...pending if it is the 4.0 4x4 Cherokee.

To give you an example. I just bought a one owner 1996 Grand Cherokee 4.0. 4x4 with 140k miles and no rust to speak of. Needs nothing and is very good condition and I paid $2450 for it.

Post some pics and more info on it.

Looks nice...no rust in usual places..at least that I can see. I have seen several with those miles and similar condition listed in the $2000-$2500 range. Not sure they sell for that much, but it gives you an idea.

If you put it on craigslist and with the snow they say we are going to get this weekend...you should have no problem getting rid of it one way or another.
