Hi, new here to StangBangerz, and new to Stangs! First one I've owned and have had it for 2 very fun months. But heres the bad thing, it is having really weird idling issues. To start, its completely stock except for a Cold Air Intake from americanmuscle.com, and Flowmaster Super 44's (just put on this week). So, whenever my car is cold, and it is cold out side; when ever I stop the RPM's drop to around 500, and sometimes even lower causing it to die  Then it also when sitting still, like at a red light, the RPM's will fluctuate from about 500 to 1100  After my car warms up, or its warm outside it doesn't seem to do this as much. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

P.S. After having the exhaust put on, the guy did say that I might just have to unplug the battery for a few minutes or longer, so that the computer could "re-learn" everything, but we did this and it is still happening.

Thanks

Welcome, try cleaning your idle air control valve with some carb or brake cleaner, it should help your idiling issue.

Have not cleaned the idle air control valve yet, going to do that this weekend...but first, where is it located at? Second, I did notice today with the weather being a little warmer it does not idle weird, only if i turn the defrost on??? Could the idle air control valve be the issue still?

Yeah sounds like thats it, its bolted on the front of the intake plenum if i remember i havent had a 4.6 car in awhile, with 2 8 millimeter bolts, or just look it up a auto zones website and see the pic then find it its right on top really or google it and theres probably thousands of things about it on there.

Cleaning or replacing the IAC should solve the problem.
