Main Caps dont fit

i have an 88 302 mustang block and the caps i have for it didnt fit its like the main caps are just a hair to wide one side fits down and the other dont ut it just barly dont fit ill take some pics on how they fit but i was kinda hoping someone might help out or if maybe another set might work

Your main caps are supposed to have a press fit. If you change caps you will need to have the block align bored...

alright ill prolly have to get it align bored how much would that cost

What Adam said....also, when installing main caps on a SBF, you need to lightly tap them with a hammer to get them to seat in the register in the block.
