You do not want to do that, it will be completely out of balance and create a lot of problems.

You can put it on there however it will vibrate like crazy. The crank, flexplate or flywheel and balancer must be kept in matched sets.

Only if you rebalance the entire assembly. That would be expensive. 28 oz is more desireable best is 0 balance.

I custom balanced one of my 306 to 28 oz, was nice and smooth! revved to 6800 on stock crank and rods, never hurt it...:)

When I was growing up, one of my friends and his dad had all kinds of bad ass Mustangs- Boss 429s, Machs, all the good shit. They rebuilt them, had a rotisserie, all that. Anyways, he swapped engines with a friend years later and they didn't swap flywheels. So they are both running around with engines that felt like they were about to leave the car entirely. Amazingly enough- he had no idea about the balance thing. Really? You rebuilt numerous SBF engines and never new about the 50 oz engines? I guess he had only dealt with 60's stuff that was all 28 oz.

They make 28 and 50 oz shit for a reason. DON'T MIX THEM!
