Ok guys I am getting closer to being ready to assemble the cougar. I am thinking a 2+ Spec clutch. However I figure I would ask to see if I may have a better option available. It is going behind a 393 that is about 450hp and in front of a 10 spline tko500 in a full weight 68 cougar with a 3:90 gear. I want no holding issues with a low of pedal feel as poss as it will be mostly street car and will be driving it on the power tour this year. I wanted to go Dual disk but the funds just aren't there atm

I am running Exedy Mach 500 setup with 18lb steel flywheel (flywheel machine work was almost too mice to hide). Nice setup. Also had good luck with the Centerforce Dual Friction setup on my 02. Currently making 473/455 RW.

I say a nice street setup from ACT. They offer a 14 lb steel flywheel and there setup will hold plenty of power for you, and there pedal effort is nice and easy.
