Any interest in a Buell 1125r? It has about 900 miles. Every upgrade available and all the stock parts. Never seen rain or even washed. Makes about 170hp, with a good rider would go low 9's. It has a Eric Buell custom ECU, HMF pipe, K&N air filter, header wrapped, Noid removed, Insulated frame, Dark Bubble windcsreen, Corbin seat, stainless brake lines, LSL handle bar kit w/billet top triple (about $1500, more comfortable riding position) lowerd pegs.

It's absolutly well sorted and with above mods is a really nice rider that has a much more upright riding position (I have a bad back and I can ride it in comfort, no way leaning over the tank) with just an incredible sound and power, lifts the front tire just by rolling on the throttle in 3rd gear. Eric Buell is still in business and making almost an idenical bike as this as a race only bike. This bike won the AMA championship in '08.

It does not have a Sportster engine. It is a state of the art Rotax made special for Eric Buell. It's FI, water and oil cooled with a slipper clutch. Rotax has been making aircraft and racing engines since the 20's. They make engines for BMW and Aprilia.

I have about 30 bikes and this by far is the fastest I have ever owned. With the V-twin engine it makes lots of torque and is lightweight. In the real world it would out run my Hyabusa I believe. It has had 3 oil changes and it isn't even broken in yet, I have kept it under 5K rpms.

Thanks, DR

Thanks for taking a look. I hardly ever sell anything, and when I do I always have sellers remorse and I'm sure I would have with letting it go, I have a ton of fiddling to make that a bike I like/trust. At first I just felt it was kinda evil and wanting to kill me.

I really like your car, mainly because of the A/C. I'll see if I can raise some cash!

Thanks again, DR

Here's some info:

1966 Ford Econoline 3 window truck. They did make a 5 window, I like the look of the 3 window better. I talked to a E-Line guru and he said they didn't make a lot of vans and only about one truck to ten vans, so I think they are kinda rare. I'm a car guy and this is the only one I have ever seen in person. My buddy was using it as a shop truck and when I saw it and I HAD to have it.

When I got it, it did need some TLC. My plan was to make it mechanically reliable and then decide on what route to take, Rat Rod, gasser, low rider etc.

What was done: fuel tank cleaned, new sender/pick-up, fuel filter, fuel pump and rebuilt the carb. Then all new brakes, bigger rear drums, wheel cylinders and new fluid. Tune up with plugs/points/cond./wires,coil and timing set.

Now it runs/drives/stops nice. It has the 240 6cyl. A very durable and torquy truck engine, wasn't used in cars. Ford used the 240/300 for years, they still may. It has about the same HP as a small V-8 but with more pulling power. All were made with 3 on the tree but this one has been converted to a C-4 automatic. It has the pedal and such to return to a manual. It has a 9" rear and 5 lug wheels.
Tires have almost no miles on them.

Misc. stuff like stainless steel full Moons, removed front bumper, removed big truck mirrors and put old time looking peep mirrors, bed liner, new C/D radio and speakers, MoMo shift handle, and of course fuzzy dice, steering box adjusted. The bumper and mirrors go with the truck. All the gauges work too. Nice cloth van seats. The only option was a heater so this one is LOADED. I also have a vintage Pat Paulsen for president bumper sticker for it.

All mechanical work was done by my buddy a retired ASA certified master mechanic. The other stuff I did, it was actually kinda fun. This may be one of simplest vehicles ever made so it's super easy to work on/modify. Parts and sheet metal are readily available and reasonable. Uses lots of Falcon and standard truck parts.

It's really a neat truck and gets lots of attention from car and non-car folk alike. Unique and functional to use too. The body has been painted flat black and does have rust and bondo. I like the look actually.

It came from California, that's why it's probably still here. It was a state truck and originally yellow.
