So about to install edelbrock performers in the 5.0 this week with crane rockers can I use the stock push rods. There seem to be a lot of different opinions on it

I wouldn't do it, get a good set of hardened ones from trickflow, crane, comp cams etc.

You kind of forgot to mention if it's pedestal mount rockers or stud mount with guide plates. makes a big difference.

With pedestal rockers, you can use stock pushrods, but as Josh stated, it's always best to get some stronger aftermarket ones. Length is something that needs to be measured to be sure you get the right length.
