I was cruising the local hobby shop sites and seen this. I have always heard of Gas powered cars reaching 100+ mph but electric is really cool. Here is a link.

OMG got a little story about that car heres a vid of my nephew driving it. It's his buddys. The crazy thing is the next day he was shooting a vidieo of his friend driving it, The freaking thing went out of control hit him he's 300 lb plus took him to the ground broke two of his fingers his wrist and he may he have to get pins put in his wrist. Funny but crazy stuff. I'll post up the vid of him driving it when he got hit as soon as he sends it to me Nasty Nasty stuff.

Heres the first vid it's on his facebook the only vid on there.

Its easy to spend that much on them though. I had easily that much if not more in my last fast Nitro car and it only did about 75-80. Then you get the reliability of the Electric car and that just makes it badass.

I would love to take it to the track and just see what it would do in the 1/8th.

They were testing this at The Strip in Vegas prior to release. If you ditch the junk Traxxas batteries for some good MaxAmps 3s 150c discharge lipos with a good tune on the ESC (yes, you can do that) and let that thing EAT!

I've seen what happens when an RC cars wreck at 100+ mph, total write-off!

John starts at 2:45, I was in his trailer on the back stretch keeping cool, didn't know he was out running as I'd just got there to watch.

I have a Tmaxx that we are converting all plastic parts to aluminum and i have about $1900 in it. After i get the rest of the parts, i am going to have Killer Koatings do his magic. A guy from california is doing a custom painted F650 body for it and that is costing over $100. They are a money pit.

I started with one of the first gas RC buggies. I had a Kyosho Burns and it had a 0.21 OS motor producing 1.3 hp. It is a 4WD 1/8 scale buggy with a single speed centrifical clutch. That thing would run approx 45mph (actual speed, not scale). Never really had a hard time controling it but one day my servo batteries died with the throttle fully open and SMACK! right into a curb. Bent the aluminum chassis to hell and back.

That thing is bad ass!

i traded my Cen CT5 that does 70+ out of the box for a set of tires. it was nitro and a blast. I still have a nitro buggy and my old Tamiya TL01. but nothing stupid fast anymore.

i bought ALL of the aluminum upgrades for the TL01 (circa 2000 ish lol) for like 50 or so off eBay. messed with it this past weekend

OG associated shocks ha!

My Tmaxx is getting a new TRX3.3 engine with a modified crank, custom piston and sleeve, racing connecting rod and cooling head. Its also getting a dual Boost bottle setup and i am considering a supercharger as well. The transmission is being modified and the gearing is being changed also. Anyone who has had a Tmaxx knows how fast these things are out of the box and with all the modifications this thing is getting, it should be wicked. I will try to post some pics as soon as i can.

Have they made any progress with those? I know back about 5-6 years ago they didnt really do much performance wise and were more for looks than anything else. I havent done much searching for hop ups for my newest ones, I spent entirely too much on them years ago and would rather just play around with em.

The people who did the crank, piston and sleeve, rod, and head work said i should see a difference with the modified engine. They said the gains on a stock engine are not worth the price of the supercharger.

Seen a commercial for this car during the NHRA race on Sunday. They were driving it on a NASCAR track. Couldn't imagine trying to control this thing at 50mph let alone 100!
