i have a 98 gt 2v 5 speed and wanna upgrade heads any suggestions welcomed

I just saw a set of pi heads with cams for $250 in the for sale section, Get and intake and some other pieces to match it is a quick inexpensive upgrade.

There are only three options out there.
1. SVO Heads which are hard to find
2. 99+ PI castings which are cheap and plentiful
3. TFS Heads which are big money but have the potential to make the most power

PI heads/cams/intake is the best bang for the buck. Other than that, save your money and go FI.

Not all 99-04 4.6 engines. The crown Vic didn't get,them until 2001 and I'm not sure what year trucks started getting them.

Yes, you can do that. It isn't that simple but it can be done.

In a nutshell you need a dohc motor and associated parts to make it work including the ability to control the intake manifold runner controls. Is it worth it...not to me.

how do you id. p.i heads because guy i bought the car from said it had an 04 gt motor but not sure if its the truth

Just google them and look at the pictures. The ports are shaped different.

There are a few ways. If you take the intake off and look at the ports you can tell. there is also somewhere on the heads tthat it does say PI, I just cant remember. Some other things that can give it away but ae not definate because they can be swapped are the water pump, timing cover,and valve covers. We need some pictures to tell for sure.

Mine say PI on the intake runners, and inside the head also I think.
