Needing to pull the cover only to swap a GT cover for an LX.

Is it just held on by the rivets and how many are there???
Anyone have a diagram of where they all are?

You will have to unbolt the front bumper from the fenders. The easiest way is to put the front up in the air and lay under the front. There will be nuts holding the front cover to the fenders. I believe 6 on each side depending on model. Then unbolt the rest of the header from the rad support. you should have a couple brackets on the top side and there will be one behind the headlamps on each side. Remove the whole assy and drill out the rivets. The sides are just stretched over the studs. that should get you pretty close.

I believe the fender extension are not going to match from the GT and the LX.

I think there is ten rivets altogether.

i just took mine off theres 4-5 bolts on each side where it meets the fenders u have to take them off from the inside of the fender two at the top of the bumper where it kenects to the top of the core support and 4 at the bottum of the bumper cover where it meets the buttom of the core support thats the bolts to take it off the car then you have between 10-15 rivets and two more bolts to take the headlight panel out

I have a GT bumper on an LX body. Going back to the LX so everything will line up. Had planned on a Cobra kit when I did the bumper but LX is the path the project is now taking.

Thanks folks I'll see if I can get it pulled.
