I have a motor that hasn't been run for at least a couple of years. I have a compression tester. What would I look at for each cylinders. You know the walls are dry so it seems like that would effect the results. Should I put some oil in the cylinders first and turn it over.

I think you're supposed to do a dry and a wet test anyway when checking compression

make sense. How much compression should it have.

If the cylinders are all within 5% of each other you are good, if they are more than 20% apart the motor will not run very well and that means something is wrong.
