Looks like I will be selling my '90. I just bought another later model and the wife says I can't afford both.
I have owned it about 13 years. It's the car in my avitar, but the wheels are now Anthracite grey w/red stripe. I have used it as a daily nice day driver, never abused, raced etc...
It has many mods, mostly to improve handling and performance/drivability.
Tires are new Toyo's 245/17. Newer King Cobra clutch and Bassani SS X pipe.
Most of the mods are Steeda like:
Monte Carlo brace
K member brace
Big sway bar
weld in subframe connectors
Solid allum. upper and lower rear control arms
rear sway bar
even a Steeda hood prop
Other mods:
K&N air intake
Ford 65mm TB
Ford silicone hoses
Ford plug wires
Slotted front brakes W/Gator pads
Alighment by Performance Alightment in Blue Ash
Ford allum. driveshaft
Ford 3.55 gear set (complete kit)
Ford allum. rear end cover/brace
Full Koni suspension, adjustable struts/shocks and rear quad shocks
Koni/Eibach matched lowering springs
B&M shifter
Adj. clutch cable and quadrant
Complete Flowmater exhaust from X pipe back (no cats)
CD sterio
All speakers upgraded (stock size/location) & Bazooka bass tube
Ford underdrive pullies
I'm sure there are some things I missed...
Car runs and drives great, all power options, cold A/C, needs nothing. Ext. is nice, original paint, Int. is very nice. Sounds great, no smoke and really fun to drive.
Not sure what to ask, sorry no trades.
Thanks, Dave

BTW,
The floor mats are Steeda too. I forgot, I did take it to the drag strip once (Edgewater) it was the last race of the season and it was kinda cold that night, I ran two passes and it just spun the wheels so I gave up. So it has been raced, well kinda, LOL.

The last pic you posted the paint appears faded quite a bit. Is that indeed the case? Just wondering because the paint in the other pics looks great!!

Mileage and price would be great.

I'm actually not sure of exact milage, I'll check it today, I think it's 130ish. I'm not sure what happened to that last picture, it was a scanned film pic so maybe that was it. To be fair the first pics were after a wax. The paint is original so it does really look better after a wax.
I plan to have Chris (Plated) do a nice buff ASAP. As far as price, like I said not sure what to ask but somewhere near $6500 and we can talk about offers. I once added up the mods and is was nearly that alone...
It really is a nice car, I'm sure I will miss it, but I guess it's time for someone else to get some fun out of it.

Like bikes most cars have a story. I bought this all those years ago when looking for a late model convertable for my then GF. I ran accross this one and it just grabbed me. The PO was a real piece of work. He had been building it for a few years to race SCCA. I knew it hadn't been driven much as after the Koni kit was installed the front wheels had about an inch of toe out. He actually wouldn't let me drive it but took me for a ride, even with the bad alighnment it was an E-ticket ride, I had to have it.
He was selling only because his wife a nurse had bought it for him, he was a heavy equipment mechanic. Well, she ran off with her doctor and he said it made him sick to look at it. I made him an offer, I think $8500 which was like $500 less than he was asking and he got all red faced and mad, we got out of there fast.
Then about 2 weeks later I get a call and no hello or anything just " you can have it, bring cash" I said "who is this?" just to yank his chain. When I went to pick it up and he was counting his money he kept saying how special this car was and it needs to be garaged and respected. Then just to yank a bit more I said "yea, I plan to drive it to work everyday and run the crap out of it". My buddy that went with me almost started to laugh and said later he thought he wasn't going to sell it to me as he stopped counting for a second.
I almost told the guy "now I know why your wife left you". It's been a great car, never let me down and really fun to drive. And I have always considered it special, always garaged, never driven in winter, never raced or abused. So I guess in the end I did treat it like he wanted me too.

Yes, I think so. I took it over to Chris yesterday to buff and on the way over I was having serious sellers remorse. It just drives so good, I forgot how fun it was since I haven't driven it much the past 2 summers. My wife wants it gone and I am completely out of garage space so I guess I need to sell it..........
Thanks for the inquery, Dave

Ron,
I'm glad you found the right car for you. I'm actually still not too keen on selling it if I can scheme a way to keep it. If you need anything give me a call. I hope to see you guys race this summer sideways with the tires on fire!
Those Legands cars are a handfull, I would love to try one someday but I think I need to stay on the asphalt,LOL
Be Safe, Dave
Dave,i have a car for you to try whenever you want on pavement.

I may take you up on that. Maybe we can take my old Cup/ARCA car and your legands up to Kil-Kare and see what your daughter thinks of it, and I could try one of yours!
All the best, Dave
I am in sounds like a fun day.

It's officialy for sale. I plan to put on Racing Junk and maybe E-bay this week. Of course I have a clear title. This may be the cleanest, tightest best driving fox available anywhere. If you want a good one with NO disapointments to use and enjoy right now this may be the car for you.
As I stated I'm open to offers but I think I'm in the $6800 range, Thats about what I figured the accessories are worth alone. Linda like buying some parts anf getting a car thrown in for free...
Thnaks to all the guys for the nice words, it really is a neat car.
Best regards, Dave Renner

Thanks for the nice words, several guys that have seen it have said the same thing. I just want it to go to a good home and I can live with the asking price. I decided to leave it in the garage because every time I drive it I decide I have to come up with a way to keep it, and all of them involve a divorce, LOL,
Maybe if I put it on Greedbay it will go to who knows what... Lately I saw one that was a real turd, I don't even think it ran and they got 4500 for it, crazy.
Thanks again, Dave

Dave - sorry to clutter up your for sale ad, but I think your car is worth every penny you're asking for it.

GLWS Dave, I think you may know my dad, Jim Fisher who lives just over off of barret road. We bought mulch off of you for years growing up. I HATED doing mulch
I would agree that this is a $6800 dollar ish car all day. It's a clean, straight car.

Thanks for all the nice words fellas. Small world, I grew up with your dad Jimmy. I have lots of "dirt" on him if you ever want to get'em good.
Yep, the Dawson bro's know this car as I had to chirp a little rubber when I drove past on my way home. Did I mention it was fun to drive? LOL.
Thanks for the offer on a trade but I really need a cash sale to help pay for the other one.
Thanks guys, please tell any friends you might know that may want a really neat little car.
