I have a non Mustang question but figured I would ask, Im sure someone on here can school me. I have a 2001 Tahoe that needed a new steering box last year due to it binding up sometimes while making a slow right hand turn. I bought a used one from Tresters and had a family friend mechanic install the steering box. When I picked up the vehicle and started to drive home I noticed that the steering wheel wasnt straight anymore. When the front wheels are straight the steering wheel is in the 11 oclock position which drives my wife nuts.

My question is if I take the vehicle to get an alignment, will the wheel be able to be straightened out with the alignment adjustments. The vehicle doesnt pull or really need aligned but I will pay for an alignment if I get a straight steering wheel when the tires are straight.

I figured I would ask here before calling a tire shop. I appreciate any information in advance.

Yes it should be straight. The specs could be set fine but the wheel was off when set. Very easy fix. They will have to set it back up and set the wheel in the center then reset the toe.

pretty much what he said. plus an alignment once a year isn't a bad idea by itself. Things get out of wack with every bump you hit.

Not with Ohio roads. You can barely get home from the alignment without knocking it out again.
