Hey fellas , have a friend with a 98 gt 2v and the car stutters when he gives it full throttle but idles fine and if you ease into the gas its okay . Any ideas whats wrong with it ? Changed the fuel filter about 30k miles ago . Its never had a fuel pump put in it .

put a fuel pressure guage on and watch to see if it falls during the stuttering happens, that or a vacumm leak would be some common places to check.

OK, I have seen something like this just a while back. Now that car's problem was the TPS. Now not saying it's the same but I would still check the fuel pressure, and make sure that (if stock) your vacuum is reading around -20 psi. at idle.
