So, i've posted over on a truck forum, but wanted to get opinions here.
I have an 03 sierra 5.3 that I daily drive.
The fuel filter is being a PITA. the inlet from the tank into the filter is corroded and sized like no other. Line wrenches and days of PB Blaster have had no effect. Anyone have any ideas? I need to get it changed asap.

Does one side used the quick disconnect and the other side is threaded?

Nope, both threaded.
I"m hearing that there is a "fix it kit" out there where you basically cut the existing line.
This will help what I'm trying to explain

I have the same issue on my Tahoe. I am totally afraid to mess with that area at all. Loads of rust and I think it would snowball once I broke one line...Let me know if you find anything.

Quit screwing around with line wrenches and just put some vise grips on it. Every single brass fitting that wouldn't easily come loose with line wrenches gets the vise grips. They work every time. Bleeder screws, you name it. Quit trying to use the "right" tool and use the wrong tool- it works.
