OK so this motor is said to be out of a 1969 cougar. It is stock bore and has been cleaned and rust proofed. The guy says he has aluminum pistons and rods and also the stock intake and oil pan.

With all that said can anyone give me a price guesstimate? I know it is pretty vague.

Thanks

I more than likely wouldn't pay more than $400.00 if everything is freshly completed and parts are new. Not sure what you are looking to put this in but the oil pan more than likely will not work in your Stang and the intake really wouldn't do you much justice compared to an after market intake. So those two items really have no value to you John.
Why are you even thinking about buying those?

I know I won't need that stuff, just throwing it in since it would come with it. I didn't know if maybe I could sell the stuff to a restorer once I keep what I need.

Are all the 69 windsors the desirable ones? Is it a motor worth putting the money into to stroke?

The 69 blocks are some of the most desired for their high nickel content. It would make a good block to stroke but your best bet would be to find one already done. You could get this block and have it as a back up. I need to find a 351 block myself just to use it to mock up my motor plate and mid plate w/ the PG.

Just something to remember-- 9.48 deck height on a 69 351 Windsor block, I think they went to 9.53 in 1971 or 72.

the 69 windsor block with the c9 351 heads will make about 12:1 compression with a flat top piston, so you won't be able to run pump gas unless you change the pistons.. The block is good to 1000hp if it is machined right and the good hardware is used.
