Exhaust/Muffler Reccommendations?

A friend of mine has a 2012 V6 that he is doing some minor mods. He replaced his exhaust/muffler and now has dual exhaust/x-pipe with Magnaflows. The problem is that at 75 mph the exhaust drone is so bad you can't hear yourself think.

Anyone else have this issue or have reccommendations on how to solve?

This sounds odd, but I went from 2 chamber flowmasters to single chamber flowmasters and I have Zero drone on my '94 GT.... crazy. And it sounds good

I would try adding resonators on each side of the back of the x, on the x pipe. That or different / quieter mufflers I would think would be the only way.

Tell him to drive the speed limit.

Though I would add resonators.
