^what he said. Tag it and drive it. If its just because of tires, then just borrow some radials off a buddy.

I have 275 Drag Radials, 4:56 Gears, Spool, Long Tube KOOKS that sit about 3.5 Inches from the ground, 4000 stahl convertor, and no exhaust..... All that may change in the near future..

I never understood the appeal of owning something you can only drive 1/4 mile at a time. There are far too few track days in life to live that way when i can take my car around the block and pound on it.

I have 4.56 with a spool and a face plated transmission and I drove my car all over the place the past couple summers. Put some exhaust on that thing and drive it!

Throw some XR-1's and 3 feet of pipe on that thing and tag it. If the converter was built well then the stall speed won't matter. My old neighbor has a 5400 stall in his car, and 3 feet of 3.5" pipe from his Kooks ran into race bullets. Still tagged it and drove it around town. And his car wad sitting on the ground.

I had all intentions of putting a x pipe with SLP loud mouth mufflers on the car, but the drivers side collector dumps right onto the frame mount for the trans cross member, just enough it will not clear a reducer into the x. Not sure what i can do with that.. Needless to say i'm not happy with my $1100 KOOKS.. Should have bought the Bassani Long tubes and this wouldn't be an issue..

i hated my kooks headers also. il stick with something the exhaust will bolt to and just loose a few ponies.

I put a complete Bassani System on my 99 gt, it fit almost perfectly and sounded awesome... But i am committed to make these things work, i'll figure something out.. They fit perfectly in the engine bay, it's just the DS collector, i may have to shorten both and have some fab work done to make them work...

bassanis suck worse, mine were about 2in from the ground and could barely get it out of the driveway. I had to head up the tubes on mine and bend them down a little to clear the tranny crossover. Worked great. YOur car is honestly barely a racecar. Lots drive way wilder combos than yours. Drive a faceplated t5 around for a while. I hardly even drive my car after the tranny swap, its aweful. Throw some exhaust on it and drive it.

Currently i have a Lupo c-4 with a Precision industries convertor.. It may have a TKO600 in it by years end.. The c-4 with that convertor doesn't make it driver friendly.. Well and the 33 spline strange spool, c-clips with 4:56 gears would be a hindrance as well.. I do have a 9" 31 splind Detroit locker in a Stange N case, would just need to come up with a 9" Housing with axels.. I will street the car, eventually... I love drag racing, but it's just a pipe dream at this point in my life.. Need to be out POUNDING the streets, and i will....

I had Kooks LTs on my 00 T/A and I thought the quality/fitment were excellent.

Get with Jason Zimmers and see if he can modify what you have so you can get it on the street.

When you are racing every weekend it does makes a differrence, still I wanted to take out 67 out on the road every now and then ;)

I would have had to get different rear wheels (slicks), mufflers and rewire the car for brake lights and turn signals. That car was louder than hell do to one hell of an overlap in the cam. 106* LSA 240/245@0.050 Dur. :D

Just watch out for rubber kneckers checking out your thumper once its street worthy as it may cause traffic accidents from people checking it out, LoL!

There are a lot of fools on the road... The car probably won't see the street anytime soon.. It was built to be a Drag car and that's what it will be, in time.. I've had plenty of street cars and went to many car shows and quite frankly it just don't appeal to me as taking it to the track and blasting down the 1320 or in my case the 660, since most tracks are racing 1/8 mile in Pro/Super Pro.

If it has a title, it can be a street car. :D

Just don't put any stickers on it.

I won't put any stickers or decals on it unless i'm racing a event where the major sponsors are paying contingency.. If i do, i will put the stickers on a magnetic sign, and put them on the car so they are easy to remove..
