Does anyone know of a walk up machine shop in Northern Kentucky area.
I want to get my direct clutch piston and forward clutch piston machined
down to accept more friction and steel plates. My 4r70w is being mated to
a supercharged 4 valve with about 700 hp. I had rebuilt this tranny before
when it burned up. I had rebuilt it with the Jerry mod then to handle
500 hp when it was bolted to a 2v na nitrous motor. It really was a hard shifter then. I want to build reliability into the tranny.

Thanks

Never thought of KOI or Monarch and have used them in the past. Nice to see some members from my area.

So I haven't taken my clutch pistons in yet to get machined. I am however trying to finish up the front suspension. I need to get my spindles tapered hole drilled through for a 5/8 bolt per Maximum Motorsports instructions.
I take it to KOI and they said they can not do it and take it to Monarch. Monarch said they could not do it too. The guy at Monarch said I needed to take it to a better machine shop. So where would this machine shop be? Can anyone help. Sad these two places do not have machinery capable enough to do what I believe is a simple job.
Guess I will not use either for my clutch pistons too. I have no faith in them now.

K i'm not sure of all of the exact roads as i'm from Ohio but i work for an aviation repair facily over on 20 in Hebron there's a little machine shop up the street from us that is a pretty nice little shop and you can walk up to it. It's right before mc d's on 20 coming from the airport it's called Jackson Tool and Mold they've got amish style furnature out in front of it. i'm 99% sure they can do it

Yup it's a great little shop but they can do way more than it looks like from the outside
