Not sure how many of youremeber Paul Harvey but here is a short video clip from almost 50 years ago that he said and read about our nation. This is indeed life as we know it today. And this is from 50 years ago. He actually did this broadcast back in 1965. It was an essay that he wrote back in 1964 and then published it in 1965.

I looked it up and that is definately Paul Harvey but his original version was similar but a bit different. Apparently he updated it over time and from just a quick look it seems that version if from 1996. I had a hard time believing he wrote about metal detectors and drug sniffing dogs back in 1964.
