Dissapearing coolant??

My '94 after sitting for some time, will have a nearly empty radiator....

I can fill it up, drive it, beat on it, etc. Park it, come back a few weeks later and its low again. When I do drive it, the temp gauge fluctuates a lot... not sure if its air pockets or if something else is going on.

It doesn't smoke, it leaves no puddles, and doesn't have any coolant in oil or vice versa

Ideas?

Check your radiator cap, I had an issue back in the day that was similar. I could fill it up one day and the overflow tank would be empty the next and then the radiator would start getting low. It would only happen when I drove it.

With 235k on it, I suppose that is a pretty darn good place to start

back when i had my 94 gt the plastic end cap on the radiator had a hair line crack in it under the mount. thats what caused mine to do that.

My Vic will use a tiny bit of coolant over time. Every couple months i get a check engine light because the coolant is low. I've never seen a leak and i'm pretty sure it's not burning it.
