The wife works for a company based out of Ohio and a bunch of people were talking it up when she was in a meeting yesterday. We are considering heading over to Dayton this evening and having dinner there and jacking around . Any experiences with it? They all said it was amazing. The one in Englewood specifically. Thanks

It depends on what you like in pizza. To me its just OK but I know plenty of people love it.

Dayton has some of the best pizza places around. Flying Pizza, Cassanos, Jims, and Marions, in that order.

We drove about an hour to Englewood. It was definitely good. Had a good cold pitcher of beer and a great pizza. I was pretty impressed.

Marions has been a huge pizza tradition in the Dayton area. Its not your "traditional" type pizza maybe but it is very good in my opinion.

The original one is in downtown dayton, I believe on North main street. He moved when they were doing construction but I believe he is back to the original building.

There is a Flying Pizza in Centerville also. I went to school in downtown Dayton, and ate Flying Pizza almost daily, I still love it. Marion's has a few locations around town, they are one of favorites also, then Cassano's.

Flying Pizza has locations on Main Street in Dayton, 725 in Centerville (near the old Hooters), and on Colonel Glen behind Bob Evans. It is absolutely the best in the Dayton area.

PS: My list above was supposed to be Joe's.

What style pizza is it? Or in other words, what makes it so good? Crust, sauce, gormet toppings? I'm always game for a good pizza.

Gourmet toppings?? LOL. Its real New York style pizza, big and cheesy.

I remember eating at Marion's back when I still lived in Waynesville, that was years ago. It was good from what I can recall, might have to drag the fiance up there for a family trip and try it again :)

The only time I ever get godfather's is out in brownsburg Indiana. For "fast food" pizza I like hunt brothers.

The new Godfathers doesnt compare to the original. Its good but not the same thick cheesy delight the original was.

Godfather's in Huber Heights across from Cloud Park on Brandt Pike. I like Flying Pizza and Joe's. I like Marion's buy I'm not a fanatic. Is the place in Mason the spot with Chicago style??
Dewey's down by UD on Brown St. is pretty good.

A Marions pizza is being built on Tylersville Rd in Mason right now. Off Snider, across from BW3s. Guessing it will be open this summer/early fall.
