I've been chasing (what i think) is an ignition issue...Took the car out last Sunday and drove PERFECT, decided to take it out for a drive around the block on Monday and by the time i got out of the neighborhood it had developed a misfire and is backfiring in the exhaust.
Since then i have put new plugs and a new coil in to see if that was it...the plugs are new and only have dyno time on them...
I need some help here...I am missing events left and right bc of this issue and am just getting frustrated! haha

Tfi would be most likely culprit and fairly cheap to replace if its ignition

I should mention using BS3 standalone using a crank trigger.

I'm not familiar with Bigstuff 3 or crank trigger systems, but are you using any MSD ignition parts ?? Seems like a high failure rate with them lately.....

I'm not sure I know how to do that, i'm trying to track down a working one to see if that is my issue.

check air gap on crank trigger, make sure engine grounds are good, maybe a rocker arm has loosend (sp) up??

Just checked the grounds...seem ok, but where should they be on an sn95 car?
I checked the rockers earlier...seemed ok to me.

I've got 2 6AL boxes, if you want to swap them out. One I know is good, the other I'm not sure, but you are welcome to try them.

Are you using a locked dist. for cam sync? If so un-plg it and see if it gets better. Next step is get rid of the 6al and get a good digital ign. Also definitely check air gap on crank trigger. Also Check it in 4 or 5 places. The msd crank trigger wheels are. Never perfectly centric.

I'll check the crank trigger out as a possibility. I just can't see that all of the sudden be the issue overnight, but I'll double check.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll keep on it

If you are using a Rev Limiter chip or switch in the 6AL take it out and see what happens. I had a similar issue back in the day. Check the distributor internals and cam gear if that is the set up you are using, have had issues with that stuff as well.

Double check the rotor phasing. Also make sure the distributor is still locked out, we sheared a pin in Smack's car last year and it shot sweet fire balls and shit out the rear. Give me a call if you want, PM's take too long

Soooo...a little embarassed to say the least, but ended up being a stupid fucking plug wire...It was one that i didn't take off and switch with another one bc it looked fine and had a boot on it...well, it was burnt through underneath the boot! FML!
My buddy's exact words when i pulled the boot back and saw it: "DUDE! THAT WAS THE FIRST FUCKING THING I TOLD YOU TO DO!" lol

Good news is, i don't see a reason why I can't make the cruies-in now!
