I am tired of dealing with the trash on craigslist. I have had three people screw me over on deals. The latest one involved a void title, after the guy told me it was fine that his name was in the wrong place and you could just cross it out and initial it like a check. Honestly it was a fuck up on my judgement. But I've had two other people sell their cars to other people after we have made an agreement. I'm tired of wasting my time, minutes on my phone and gas. I'm tempted to just go search car lots in hopes of getting another foxbody and just stay the hell away from craigslist.

Yeah lol It doesn't help half of the used cars went to the shredder with that cash for clunkers. People are holding onto there good cars longer. Did you know that the price of cores went up because of that? They poured something into the motor to destroy it and then sent it to the crusher. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124934376942503053.html

Craigslist is fine. You just have to weed through the bs. If you get specific and have then send good pics of what your looking for your usually going to be ok. Lots of stupid people for sure but plenty of good deals too.

Sounds too good to be true, then its likely not for you. I found a beautiful (looking) 1993 yellow chrome convertible on there once. Low miles, looked nice. Only mod was a chrome strut tower brace on it. Priced lower than any I had see....much lower. Guy says..."Well it has 30 day tags on it and I need to get rid of it before they expire. I just had a new kid and can't afford it. It has a 'rebuild' title on it but the guy I bought it from can't find it so you would need to apply for a lost title, but that's no big deal."

I did a carfax on the thing and found it had been rear ended (heavy damage) and had been slammed into something (heavy front damage) and totalled. The car had been registered, or attempted to be registered in about 8 different counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. THANKFULLY I SMELLED A RAT. Thank you carfax, and intuition.

I've had pretty good luck selling items on CL, but I have not bought anything yet.

Yes all of the idocracy on CL is a pain in the ass. But over the years I have made well over $15,000 using this site and have been very fortunate to find some amazing deals that you will not find any where else. ;)
And for the case in point..... No Craigslist= no mustang restoration
