I know alot of guys already use Autometer gauges. I have been putting together my cluster and needed the black plastic "bracket" for a 3 3/8 inch gauge. It is no where on their website for sale, just for 2 1/16 and 2 5/8. I emailed them and the guy I dealt with just asked for my address and sent me one on them.

It's not a huge free part or anything, but customer service like that means alot these days. Figured I'd share...

good to know. I'll have to give them special consideration when I reach that point in my build.

1.) Cool. K/N was kind enough to send me a part that I was missing from an ebay purchase once. I offered to pay for it but they insisted they would send it free of charge.

2.) Wheel replicas has stepped up and is sending me a replacement FR500 wheel since mustangjno found the vertical runout in it when mounting them up. I provided the guys runout numbers and they are shipping one tomorrow with a return shipper for the old one. Great guys to deal with.

I don't know that i'll ever use another gauge other than an autometer i've got about 2500 worth of their gauges in my car and love them...... well except for their fuel gauges seems like every other one i see the level indicator floats.....

That seems to be the case even as far back as 1994. We installed a full set of gauges in a 66 Ford F100 with Custom gauge panel (all steel). Had the same problem with that fuel gauge. Others gauges were just fine.

I haven't gotten a fuel pressure gauge yet. Are you guys saying autometers isn't good?

The exact one I'm wanting is the 0-15 with the isolator for in car install.

Their fuel pressure gauges are okay. Its their fuel level gauges that are kinda flakey. Although when they are on the E line they mean EMPTY. lol I learned that the hard way with my 91. Being used to factory gauges giving you a little wiggle room screwed me. haha

Ah OK, thanks Chris I totally read it wrong. I have the fuel gauge just for show. Whenever I get my fuel cell I'll have to figure out a working sender and gauge combo.

Dont get it wrong they work you just have to have the car sitting perfectly still for a couple minutes to get a good reading. lol
