Anyone ever had a shift light wig out?

I noticed on my launches at the last UMTR race my shift light seemed to come on when I was on the 2 step. My 2 step was set to launch at 5700 and my shift light was pilled to 6400 and my shifts seemed to come pretty fast. My tach was verified on Mikes dyno. So I put a 3000 pill in the shift light and rev the car up and the shift light comes on at 2500rpm. I put a 5k pill in and the light comes on at 3800. So I am assuming the light was actually triggering between 5200-5700 during the race instead of 6400. I have checked the connections and it all looks fine. Anyone ever had anything similar to this happen with a shift light?

Since the pills have resistors in them, is there any chance the sockets the pills plug into are corroded?

Yep, forget the model but i had one that the shift light and recall both crapped out on me.

Figured it out, during install or wiring the switch on the back for 4,6 or 8 cyl got bumped to 6cyl setting.
