I have a 1998 4R70W with a j-modded valve body. The tail shaft was also modified to increase lubrication of the bearing. $250

Do you know if this will work in a 1997 Thunderbird w/ a 4.6L?

I would think that as long as you have the correct wiring harness and crossmember it would

3.8 or 4.6 bellhousing?

It will work in a 97 thunderbird...if you correct the speedometer the best way is to swap the output shaft which requires tearing the transmission completely apart at which time you will see everything inside the transmission and start thinking" I should replace that while I am here" You must also change the wiring in the transmission or the wiring on the car and change the shift lever.

FWIW is it is a 3.8 bellhousing consider it sold.

The only thing that fit in that mini cooper from that transmission was the stall converter I bought off of him.
