Gear question

Finally getting around to getting my car built. Anywayz I am running a stock block H/C/I 302 with a Vortech S-trim and was wondering what peoples opinions on gears were. Should I go with 3.73 or 4.10? Running 9" wide wheels with radials.

Manual. Or what about a 3.55? Any input would be helpful.

For boost, it depends on your tire size. I'd say 3.73 tho, max. A 3.55 might work better at the strip, but it's going to be boring to drive on the street to me. A 4.10 is out of the question unless you plan on revving it to 6500 or more, depending on how fast the car is.
