My 11 year old is taking a trip to dc this weekend.

I'm not ready to get into anything long term at her age, but want her to have a phone for the week.

Are there cheap, one time use phones out there?

Yup just go to walmart and pickup a prepaid cheap phone. Should be some for 25 or 30 bucks. Then you can donate the phone to soldiers.

picked one up at walgreens, $15, and a card for 120 minutes for $30

that's will give her $130 for the week,

poor thing, she thought getting a phone for the trip meant she was in the cell business now, full time,

i had to break it to her the other day, 11, i don't think so!
