does anyone know how to balance carbs on a motorcycle or can point me in the direction of someone who can?
the guy i got the bike from "supposedly" rebuilt the carbs twice. If he did i almost can gaurentee he did not sync them together. it's sputtering out around 4000 rpms still and tony came over and helped me get the fuel running constant from the tank, new filter cleaned the fuel pump so the next step after would have to be carbs. thanks in advance!:bigthumb
Setting up carbs is an art, not a science.
I'm not sure if they'll work on it, but I would call either Enzo at Cadre Cycle (http://www.cadrecycle.com/) in Blue Ash or Len at Autobahn Craftwerks (http://www.autobahn-craftwerks.com/acwp1/) in Northside.
I'm not sure who's still around that would be particularly good at a Japanese non-racebike. If Dave Page is still working on bikes, then he would be a good one to go to...or Mike McKinley if you can find him.

i am almost certain the carbs are out of sync, if you take the carb cover off this bike for anything the carbs have to be sync'd back together.
Thanks Gene, i will be searching around.

I have a buddy that used to do this....I'll give him a call and see if he still has his equipment and wants to do it. I have seen him work on a 4 Stromberg set-up on a flathead race motor - it was cool shit!

awesome let me know...the more i read the more i want it running. There were only 5099 of these bikes built and they say that there are only around 2000 or so left. i think that a rar bike like that needs to be rode, and it only has 14000 miles on it.
