Pretty much just wanting to see if anyone has had any clearance issues with the nuts threading while running Mac long tubes.

Looking at arp part 100-1404

You put the headers on after you put the heads on, so it's not an issue with the nuts threading, it's an interference issue with the top of the stud or nut hitting the edge of the header flange. I've not had issue with 7/16" studs, but with the bigger 1/2" studs. You can always grind on the header flange a bit for clearance as well. Only time I had issues was with a set of 1 7/8" headers and the adapter plate hitting. A little grinding and on it went. You'll get it on there no problems.

Thats good to know. Hopefully they go on without a hitch

I hope so too, shouldn't be an issue tho, but just look really closely before you snug them down to make sure nothing is interfering. Nothing like tightening everything down only to start it up with a huge exhaust leak and ruining the gaskets in the process.

I am a total idiot. This is supposed to be about the exhaust studs lol.

I couldnt get a set of shortys on over those. I guess if you rock the motor on one mount you might have clearance. Post your results.

I will if I keep everything. My parting out plans are looking grim.

Are the ARP studs the same length for a 8.2 or 8.5 block with 351 heads??
