Sept 30. Feeler for group drive/ride

Was thinking of organizing a group drive/ride to somewhere similar to going to WPAFB, I know most all enjoyed. Figured we could goto a historic park somewhere, where we could have a picnic of sorts then come back same day.

Blue Lick Battlefield was my first choice. But its going to be mostly 1 lane road trip an hour and half roughly from cincy for those never been. Cut and copy bio from their website.

Boone's words, "Enough of honour cannot be paid," are inscribed on the monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers in the Battle of Blue Licks.

To me I like country twisties for a cruise so sounds fun and we will have the kiddos. Let me know how many interested, or if the drive is too long and you have other options then toss them out and I'll post up a poll. Either way I'm going to plan one, So help me out guys and gals:bigthumb

well that sounds fun.... and educational. I must be getting old. I would rather it not be at the butt crack of dawn though. Im not really a person you would want to be around real early.

Just mapped this out. Looks like a great drive. We could make 11:00-11:30 I likey curveys!!! 2 hour drive (tops) puts you in the park at 1:30pm just in time for a late lunch.

Pack your food and drinks for picnic. Not sure if any vending machines ect on site. Its been 15 years since I been there.

Loved the off camber curves on that back road. Glad my wife couldn't make it. She would have pooped herself and Shelby would have puked in the back seat...LOL!! I think I could get into going up to Mid Ohio some time for a class and a track day if they offer it.

Thanks for coming guys we had a good time and nice relaxing drive wirh some fun spots overall a success hope more people start getting out their garage queens for these in future. Oh btw i got 24 mpg who says old v8s are gas hogs hah

Had a blast! Thats what our cars are built for. John did a great job of putting this together and thanks again. How cool was it to roll through those little towns and watching people give thumbs up and point. Alittle bit of "hot rods and history". We need to do this again soon.

Came back 68 to AA and headed home. Caught the tailwind of a Caddy running 75 and shadowed the old silver hair back to 471.
