I took my car to tristate for the first time recently and every time i was finished with my run the car took a really hard whip to the left then the right. i adjusted tire pressure. no luck. I tried gradually rotating off the throttle & still there. it wobbles left then right every time creating a very dangerous condition at 110mph. its not when i hit the brakes its when i let off the gas. anyone ever experienced this or know of anything to help this?

1989 mustang hatch. aftermarket upper & lower tubular rear control arms. 4.10 gear. new ram clutch, world class trans. alloy axles. limited slip. 17" low pro Hoosier drag radials (that suck so bad i cant get any traction at all. even tried a different driver. it has a air bag in the right rear and i removed it thinking it may have been unloading weight onto the front & unloading the rear on decel. nope still does it. i think the arms are pretty old. the bushings dont look in the best shape. i replaced the upper bushings on the rear end housing because they were half gone.
sorry i thought my sig would have my set-up but it did not upload.

Yeah Id check the bushings. My old 92 GT did that and it was the lower control arm bushings. Replaced the arms with aftermarket ones and never had a problem. But it wasnt just at high speeds, you could feel it anytime after letting off the throttle from wide open.

The cheaper the control arms, the quicker the bushings go to shit! Do yourself a favor and either buy better control arms or head down to Cincy Speed if you're close by and get the lakewood replacement bushings. I'm pretty sure Craig stocks those still.

Can't really afford new arms. Hopefully I can just replace the bushings only. Thank you for the help guys.
