Hi, I just got an 87 GT 5-speed (which i would trade on a small truck btw) the hazards work but no turn signals any clues on where to start on the issue i have may be from a steering column swap? All Help greatly appreciated!!!

is there a way to check either one the relay or the flasher or just replace them?

Make sure to report back and let us know what it was. Mine didn't work on my 87 so I replaced the flasher and still nothing.

did you change the right one? theres two in there. the hazzard flasher is the one on the back of the fuse box and the turnsignal flasher is above the steering column.

I haven't checked the actual switch it feels like its working. to be honest i think i may have a bigger problem i noticed the warning lights come on the bottom right hand side after starting the car & when go on and off as i turn the head lights on or off, now i'm getting scared a lil. the head lights and park lights work as they should thank goodness. Oh & fuel warning light stays on and gas gage goes to full or empty as its running i'm guessing its the bad ground issue on the gas tank for the gas gage I hope

could be a bad ground to the dash cluster all together my lincoln had to be redone cause the guages would do stupid shit, go backwards, work and not work depended on how they felt

Yeah sounds like some wiring grimlins those can really suck if u don't know much about it

Also if say someone put new bulb sockets on the turn signals and swapped the power wires with headlight on they wont work but off they will

Still no luck I changed the flasher under the steering column, then took turn signal switch off the steering column to find 1 of the three plug ins was burnt and broke into. i'm guessing that ruined the turn signal switch. anyone agree?
