Im debating going with a tubular K member, A arms and coil overs up front... i found a kit and everything and for the front im in it about 900 bucks for everything. my question is, is it really worth my time and money to do this? its a street car, that i drag race a good amount but... its also a 60k mile original coupe (for the most Part) without the coil overs and everything thing i can get some regular non coil overs and save my self about 500 dollars, and alot of work. Is the money and time really worth it?
What type of improvements/advantages will i see or have with a tubular k member in the traction department, i know ill save about 75 pounds but besides that.

In all honesty for a street cruiser that just sees the track on occasion not really worth it. If you want to be able to adjust the ride height you can do coil overs but you wont be able to tell much of a difference. One of the biggest advantages is clearance for headers or turbo kits

Well I don't plan on going turbo really soon, but it has bbk long tubes on it now. And thoes seem to be pretty friendly

Don't waste the $ little buddy. Do a good set of strange struts, shocks and eibach drag launch springs front and rear. If you don't have upper and lower control arms buy a good set of those too and make sure the uppers are adjustable. Or if none of that sounds good go have Adam retune your car on the spray and throw the big pills in it. Just my .02

My only worry with the eibachs is that they are going to sit like a 4x4 I don't wanna have to cut them then instal and then cut them again

I'm not sure of the exact number but isnt 1hp = 10 lbs not saying it's a ton but 75 lbs is like 7-10 hp......... I'm running tubular K the biggest thing i like about it Kev is that I can get to just about anything on my motor like when you were having all of those front coolant leaking issues........ or i've pulled mine a few times and i don't have to remove my headers...... I'm running upr coil overs and strange 10 ways, my only complaint is that i have to lay on the ground to change the settings. I don't know that i'll ever own a fox and not have a similar set up. But that's my preference.

As much as you work on that car I would absolutely buy a tubular setup just because it makes everything so much easier to work on

I absolutely love my tubular K member and coilovers. Best couple of pieces I ever bought. Love the part about being able to get to the header collectors and starter by removing the wheels and not climbing under the car. Weight savings is a plus.

It's been reliable as of the past year! Just the upper intake lol

LOL. Honestly, I don't think I could ever go back to a stock k member. It just makes EVERYTHING so easy to work around. Keep in mind too, if you need new bushings, ball joints, etc, ALL of that is included and brand new in any k member kit.

kevin go buy some eibach drag springs, it doesnt sit bad at all, thats whats on my car and youve seen it, and some 90/10 struts for the front, and hotchkis control arms for the rear and you will hook, let a kmember come after that

Lot better choices for control arms out there than Hotchkis for a drag oriented setup. I put a set of Eibach drag springs on a buddies car and without cutting they aren't anywhere near low enough for me. Just my opinion though.
The biggest question is what brand k member kit are you looking at?

The qa1 k member with upr coil over kit. It comes as a package

I have not heard anything good about QA1 since I registered on this board.

Dont go Qa1. I would do a PA or Team Z they make good quality suspensions

I priced a pa a while ago, I can't remember how much they are... What's bad about qa1

Generally they are know to have poor fitment and build quality. Basically they are China junk

I'd stick with the stocker over a QA1. PM 331twistedwedge on here about his QA1.

I'll believe you guys lol!!! That's why I asked I knew the Sbz people would tell the truth. So what's my best option staying stock k member and maybe just full adjustables 4 corners?

That's what I would do Kevin. Lil buddy the rear suspension and front struts and springs will be your only concern. That and get some Damn subframes under that thing...lol

You can go with adjustable coil overs on the front w/ the stock set up. Go with good upper and lowers in the back with good springs and adjustable shocks in the back. Come back to the tubular K-Member and A-Arms at a later date.
