Need to know if its possible to find a birth certificate for a person just knowing the fathers name. If you can help let me know.

How old of a person are you looking for? Is the person who the birth certificate belongs to still alive?

If they're deceased, you can source that kind of stuff through Ancestry.com. If they're alive it's going to be a challenge unless the person gives you permission.

The person is alive as far as I know. I don't know his name though. Just the father and state of birth.
