Purolator Pure One is one of the best and reasonably priced.

factory is always choice. this is a case where you pay for quality

I've heard of Fram oil filters doing that. I've been using Mobile 1 oil filters for a while now and they seem to be alright.

bosch, purolator, and my personal favorite,, Wix. And yes, any of the factory filters are pretty good as well, i mean the cars were designed with them

My SE-R Spec V has the same engine as your car and does the same thing, everyone tells me its the timing chain rattling.

It has all new timing components in it less than 2000 miles on them. And mine still does it

I refuse to use fram I have seen too many problems with them, they also make filters for other companies so read the package. I prefer OEM when possible however I use wix or purolator as a second best. Most oil company filters are fram IE quaker state, valvoline,etc...

STP or Purolator, both made by the same company.
