Ok guys, so I am wanting to figure out what plugs I have to have plugged in for the motor to run, and what is not necessary.

Basically, I want to strip the wiring harness down to the bare minimum I need for the motor to run. Obviously, no smog, no ac, just the essentials.

Is there a diagram I can look at that tells me what each plug is, and if its necessary? I'm trying to not spend $500 for a aftermarket engine harness if I don't have to.

Thanks in advance.

The best wiring manual out there is a ford EVTM book. You can find them on ebay. They are year specific.

Good luck it is a very very tedious job. It will save you some weight and definately clean things up a ton but I would highly recommend getting someone who is very familiar with wiring to help

Well I used to wire Atlas V rockets, and I built the wiring harness for the transmitter on the Mars Curiosity rover..... So I can definitely find my way through it. I just don't want to cut anything that is crucial to the engine.

$50 is the cheapest I saw a manual... Seems pricey for something I am only going to use once.
