Starting putting my budget roller block/gt40p/ carb combo together. Ended up getting a parts store Duraspark Distributor for 85' Manual car, for the steel gear. Also using MSD 6al box. I know I have seen a few guys using the Duraspark. What experience do you guys have with them? Has anyone had to change the "springs" for the timing curve or are they good enough to drop in and go?

U do realize most all roller Cams are billet aside from junk alphabet an trick flow sadi core Cams an are recommend to run steel gear on them. All efi foxes came w steel gear an pretty much everyone runs them w no prob. Bronze is a cheap alternative to buying aftermarket steel or composite. If u run a bronze w a hi volume oil pump on street be ready to change regularly

I have a few with points distributors with Pertronix conversions . The conversion has a hotter spark than the duraspark and its only two wires . I also opted for the steel gear on my roller the bronze gears are lucky to make it 10000 miles .
