View Full Version : 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab Short Bed Diesel

I have a early ( 305 hp ) 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT I am half way considering selling. It is a quad cab short bed 4X4 with a 5.9 Cummins and Automatic transmission. The truck has 169,000 miles on it currently. Runs and drives great and makes great power. Injectors were just replaced last week with brand new Scheid 50s. Has no leaks and has never used a drop of oil. The transmission and transfer case shift great and function just as they should. The front suspension is very tight ( even with the 315s) . The front brakes were replaced about 500 miles ago. It has a 4" Diamond Eyes Turbo back exhaust, Edge Juice with attitude programmer, S&B Cold Air kit and an Edge Boost elbow. I also just put a factory Mopar cold weather radiator cover on it. The truck is currently sitting on NEW Goodyear Duratrac 315-70/17 tires with MB wheels. They both have under 2000 miles on them. I still have the stock wheels with 285s on them also. They are in fair to decent shape. The exterior of the truck is in decent shape. It has dents , dings and scrapes. There are rust bubbles starting to appear on the passenger bedside. I bought it as a daily driver / work truck so the bumps and bruises didn't bother me to much. It still cleans up good and is very presentable, but it isn't for somebody wanting a show truck. The bed is Rhino Lined . The interior cleans up nice and is in good shape. It is dark gray cloth with power drivers seat. It does have the typical wear on the drivers seat. It also has an HD JVC CD player and brake controller installed. If you are looking for a reliable truck you can have fun with or work to death , this would be it. I am not sure if I even want to sell it at this point, but I thought I would throw it out there.

I'm not quite sure since I just did the injectors. It appears to be around 18 at the moment. That's mostly in town driving on this tank.

I had the same issue but i kind of played it off as if he was to busy. Oh well got a new truck anyways.

Nope i dont but im due for a new one in a year. So maybe he could get another sale but im sure it wont hurt him either way.

I've decided to just keep it. The wife and I talked about it and it makes better sense to keep it as a work truck. I also already have another turbo for it that nobody will want to pay anything for , so I might as well use it. Thanks for the interest , but this can be deleted. Thanks.

Good choice. Its a good looking truck man! I cant wait to get into a diesel.

The Dodge is officially for sale. I put a new Bosch CP3 on it the week before last. The truck is making Very good power and running great. The wife and I are considering buying a newer Crew Cab Cummins now. After spending so much on the fuel system the past 2 months the wife officially hates this truck! I bought another older Cummins for a work truck so I won't need this one. Push come to shove I may put it back stock and trade it in. All depends on what kind of interest I see this week.
$17900 with both sets of wheels
$16700 with the stock wheels.

I did a full set of injectors last month. Common rail injectors are salty!
