What's the strongest one out there? I've gone through 6 of the autozone ones in the past 4 months since i swapped to a v8, I'm tired of the inside strands that line the plastic sticking out and rendering my adjuster useless. Any reccomendations?

Nope, routed the farthest away, its 3 inches or more from the headers. Stock clutch, reccomended free play. Everyone keeps saying its the $25 cable

Find a Ford cable from a junk yard. Also, be sure your electical grounds are in good condition. If not the clutch cable will act as a ground and all the juice going through it will weaken the cable extremely fast. I had this happen on my old 79 2.3 turbo Capri. Went through several cables until an old time mechanic hipped my this problem.

Make sure your quadrent is not moving. I had the same problem and found that my quadrent was moving left and right everytime i pushed the clutch in. This will slowly cut your cable.

On a side note the last cable I put in was a factory cable i bought from a guy on here for $15 bucks. I bought a Steeda cable as a backup if this one goes. I havent had to use it yet.
