View Full Version : Balancing an aluminum driveshaft?

For some reason I heard it can't be done. But I don't find that to be believable.

Anyone in town do this?

Its not a mustang driveshaft btw. Its for my Lincoln.

It can be done with no problem. But be sure to pick a shop wisely cause up here we have two and one cant get oe stuff done correctly and one did my that should be good deep 9's

B&T shaft said sure we can do it. I picked it up and the JB Welded weights to it. WTF?

B&T done one for me I ended up buying another shaft they taped and glued the weight on.

They aluminum taped over the jb weld on mine
It balanced fine didnt vibrate. I just thought it was a crappy way of doing it.

B&t lost their best guy. About 6 months ago. Now its the owners son and a newer guy.
