I have a 92 gt that when you rev the engine the rpm's go up and hang around 2000 for a few seconds then slowly fall back to idle. Does anyone have any idea what would be causing this. I did clean the throttle body recently and it did not help at all.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

Sticking IAC, throtte blade too far open at idle, or tune.

no vacum leaks. Thanks i will check the other.
