dont know about the rear, but front springs are easy. Basic hand tools can get the job done.

There is really no major tool needed that shouldnt be in your basic tool box. I did mine with a buddy in a small garage with all basic hand tool except a sweet ass snap on battery impact that made quick work of removing stuff. We could have got by fine without it though. Im not sure about the pinion flange though. I used the correct 03-04 cobra flange when i had my SRA built so my driveshaft went right back in place.

Control arms we shouldn't need anything special. At least we didnt when we did my rear end. With the pinion flange its just as simple as changing ujoints right? I have a bunch of tools myself and just picked up a smaller air compressor and air tools if we need em. As for the springs we may need to rent a spring compressor.

honestly man if you pull the flanges off you really need to pull the rearend apart and use a new crush sleve or hammer the old one back out. sometimes you can just tighten them back down but i have seen then start whinning or want to come back loose.

Thats what I figured. I still have a brand new 03-04 cobra pinion flange. It shouldnt be that big of a deal to swap out the gt pinion flange. I didnt want to go to work and come back with a trunk full of tools.Lol

well i can tell you a gt spring will not work on your cobra up front because of the weight diffrence. read up on it they are some special type of steel and are alot stronger.

with the front springs, you dont need a compressor, just be careful. I have done it like 6 times, I
-remove front brakes and caliper bracket
-abs sensor and bracket from the shock
(as a safety precaution, I took some chain and attached it to the spring then the control arm so the spring couldnt shoot out if something weird happened)
-take the nuts (21mm i believe) off the shock
-jack up on control arm until it releases the pressure on the shock bolts, then remove them and push the hub out of the shock
-Slowly lower the jack and there ya go
If your on stock springs, you may have a hard time getting them out of the control arm cup, I know i did on my car, but after market springs (assuming lowering springs) go in with less trouble

A rearend out of a 99-04 gt or mach1. The more built, the more the interest. I have a trade worked out right now but I would look at others. And Mike is interested also. So dont hesitate to through it out there. Id prefer to get one with 31 spline axles.

It is a wide 315 compared to some others and it got cut up into my fender a little and my car is not even that low. If you dont like how far in the tires sit with the 98 rearend you could always use a small spacer but if you got the wide rearend like me your just stuck.

Thats good. Right now I have the crappy sumitomos. Ill probably stay with them for the street unless I go to 18's then Id like to pick up some BFG KDW's. I know there noisey but what isnt noisey on a moded cobra right?Lol. My fenders are rolled and I havent had any trouble since I rolled them.
