Its also now FNL since its moved to Friday. Kilkare is not much farther than edgewater from where I live and its always been a much nicer track IMO. Im pretty happy with the change

I went to 95% of the TNL's since they started. Ive had an awesome time. I agree that KilKare has a better track. Its about an hour ride for me to kilkare. As of right now I can say I will attend some but maybe not all of them. But you know how it works. After the first time I go Ill be hooked and probably be back every week to get my fix. I know kilkare is putting down a new track. I dont how it will compare to the old track. But I also heard that E20 tore up some of their track also. Im sure Dick will try to use some of the popularity from the event last year and have something of his own. With FNL being in Xenia should bring some cars from cities. Shit might get interesting.

lost cause

All you guys whining about the distance have to realize that the venue made this decision, and all the people who used to have to drive a long distance to get down there, now have a shorter drive. The track has been re-done, and is going to a great place to race again. I plan on bringing the car out there when its ready

IMHO, Dick's employees had more to do with TNL not getting renewed than anything. I know a few of them (when I went every week to T&T) held regular normal jobs. So working Thursday night AND Friday night then Saturdays was just too much for them.

I will attend a few as it is on Friday now even with it being at Kilkare. They really need to do something about the bleachers though, they are horrible.

That's in the past really. :(

I do have other cars ya know. One of them will run 14's.
The new house I'm moving into next week has a 60x40 garage, I'll get another car worth running down the track in the next year or two.

The town sends you a bill when you break? Just kidding. I broke down 4 miles from my home and paid $65 for a tow. I cant believe the prices these days.

Yes indeed along with their regular program. TNL was great down there and I attended and ran several of them myself. Even won one once. But the track definitely went to shit once that started. I think E20's employees had some to do with the decision to not host it again this year. But at the same time I think Dick's business got hurt on Friday's due to the track conditions. But hell who knows. Either way I think Kilkare has something good here. I have been up there on Thursday nights for TNT and that place is crazy packed. So I can just imagine Friday night now!! They should definitely rake in the people and money.

Also there is room to expand up there they can have a drift event as well all kinds of stuff

The track getting tore up was from the "no prep" so it's like a street race style that TNL wants. With no VHT put down all the regular radials pull up the rubber that is on the track so the track goes to crap. Same thing will happen at KK if they don't put some prep down at least. At least E2O will be worth going to on friday nights to test this season.

2013 OFFICIAL RACING INFO !!!!

The Thursday Night Lightz event will be changed to FRIDAY Nights for the 2013 Season.
The name of the event will be changing to FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTZ.

Event location will be Kilkare Raceway in Xenia, OH.
Dates for the event will be every Friday from – MAY 3rd Til August 16th.
EXCLUDING the JULY 5th Friday !!!!
Times will be 6pm til 12 Midnight.
Racing will be concluded by 11pm.

Pricing for the event will not be changed for 2013.

The venue change is due to many factors … The primary reason is :
The management of Edgewater Sports Park were not interested in being host to Thursday Night Lightz for the 2013 Season.

KILKARE Raceway has many big plans for 2013 and beyond.
Since the new property owners took ownership of the facility roughly 1 year ago, improvements and revisions have been under way.
For 2013 the Drag Strip is being fully refinished along with many other facility upgrades.

We are very pleased to be working with Kilkare Raceway for the 2013 season.
Our staff feels that the venue change will allow us to better cater to our racers and our guests.

We feel that with a Friday event, this gives many racers and guests the opportunity to attend that may not have been able to make the Thursday event, whether due to driving distance, work schedules, or other conflicts.
We are expecting to draw from all over the Tri-State Area; Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, and more !

The track’s new owners are very excited to be host to the Friday Night Lightz event.

!!! 2013 RULES AND RACING PAYOUTS WILL BE POSTED THIS COMING WEEK !!!

** Note ** We will be contacting the local hotels to inquire about group rates for our out of town guests attending the Friday Night Lightz event **
